It’s Tricycle Employee in the Spotlight time! We are very excited to show you a little more of Tricycle’s employees’ side. Therefore, we want to celebrate having a unique and international team every month by spotlighting one of our Tricycle family members. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to interview Lara Gouws – Project & Team Success Manager. Let’s discover what she has to tell us in her Employee in the Spotlight interview!

Where have you lived in your life?South Africa, England, The Netherlands.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
It would definitely be playing with my siblings and cousins outside in the sunshine and around the swimming pool! Going on overseas trips with my family and learning how to snow-ski was also something extremely special.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Enjoy every day and always be kind to people.
What is the coolest thing about your job?
I get to see things go from start to finish, I really enjoy completing things! I also enjoy working with our customers and forming a unique relationship with each one. I believe this allows me to understand both the client and their needs better, by understanding and building on this I can deliver top-quality services to our clients and ensure they receive more than they expected!
What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
A bicycle…I was about 8 and I wanted a new big bike so I saved up for it! I suppose with that purchase, The Netherlands was always in my future!!
If you could time travel, when and where would you go?
I would go back to the weekend 1-3 March 2019. We had a wedding weekend with all our family and closest friends only 4 days before we immigrated to The Netherlands. It was the absolute best weekend of my life celebrating love and life with my absolute favourite people.
If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?
Healing people to allow for everyone to have their health.
What’s your favorite inspirational quote?
“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you going to get!” – Forrest Gump. I guess this aligns with the piece of advice given – enjoy every day!
