What does a good profile picture need?
YOU at your best! That’s why it’s important to let the picture be taken by a professional photographer. They have the proper lenses to blur the background and catch the light from the right angle.

It doesn’t matter if you’re not a model, if you gain weight or had a bad night sleep.
It’s about attitude. Ask yourself the question: What do I want to accomplish by putting a perfect picture on my profile? Maybe your answer is to model success or thought leadership. Imagine where you want to be in five years. Put yourself in that future situation, and you will radiate it into the picture. Remember to model the people you want to have in your network, and consider that “a picture says a thousand words.”

Don’t forget
To change your picture every two years. It’s not only because you’re getting older, it’s because the technique may be changing. Photography has trends (as does technology and many other things), and trends change over time. You need to stay up-to-date, otherwise the viewer might see you as somebody who isn’t.
